Employee Spotlight – Meet Michele Appleby

Having started her career nearly 25 years ago in the industry, Michele Appleby has seen first-hand how technology has transformed all stages of construction in the office and in the field. In her role as construction administrator, her outlook about the role of new software solutions and upgrades is just one of the reasons Michele is excited to come to work after 18 years of service.

“In my position, I work closely with our project engineers and I see how people entering the construction field today are very familiar with new technology,” says Michele. “The tools improve our ability to deliver a better product and capture the imagination of new team members to further their careers.”

“Michele has proven to be an invaluable asset for our team. She has demonstrated an immense capacity to seek continuous improvement and to provide mentorship to our project engineers,” shared Michael Stefanic, VP of Operations.

Outside the office, Michele is an active volunteer with her local fire department’s numerous benefit events and looks forward to participating in the United Way’s Day of Caring each year. A newlywed, she tied the knot with her long-time partner-turned-husband this past spring. Michele hopes to one day visit Alaska.

Thanksgiving Day is Michele’s favorite day of the year. “It gives me a chance to spend time with family and reflect on what in my life I’m most thankful for.”
