Employee Spotlight – Meet Michael D. Monaco

At Mowery, safety is not optional. Keeping team members safe (both on and off the job site) is our number one priority always, no matter what. While safety is the responsibility of the entire Mowery team, leading the charge every day is Michael Monaco, Mowery’s director of safety.

A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) who has an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Mike has more than 16 years of experience in the construction industry and is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He recently celebrated his six-month anniversary at Mowery where he has enjoyed working with the team.

“I’m surrounded by extremely talented and motivated people,” says Mike. “With the level of experience and drive this team exhibits, you get the sense that any achievement is possible.”

In just his first few months at Mowery, Mike has seamlessly integrated into the team, noting Mowery approaches relationships with clients in a much different way than other organizations.

“Projects aren’t viewed as simple transactions; real value is placed on delivering quality and exceeding client expectations,” Mike adds.

Outside the office, Mike enjoys family-friendly activities with wife, Jamie, and daughter, Marlowe. While he doesn’t have a favorite TV show per say, he can sing the Doc McStuffins theme song word-for-word thanks to his daughter. Mike loves travel, history and architecture and hopes to experience all three by visiting Moscow, Russia one day.
