Church Expertise Leads to New Partner: Covenant Church

Did you know Mowery has a deep history in church construction? In fact, Mowery is the sole Pennsylvania contractor certified to deliver the Building God’s Way methodology, a national organization with specific church design and construction standards.

Recently, Covenant Church selected Mowery for the church’s addition and renovation project. According to them, the selection process was easy when they learned of Mowery’s church construction experience, unique approach and met our team.

Covenant Church is located in Doylestown, PA, a little over two hours from Mowery’s Mechanicsburg headquarters. However, the distance didn’t hamper our team’s dedication. With direct oversight and seamless coordination by Mowery’s local project manager and superintendent, our team partnered with the top subcontractors close to the project location.

Not only did we provide the right people and the right capabilities, Mowery assisted with budgeting, phasing and project design. Bill Manna, senior estimator on the project, recalls nights when he didn’t get home until close to midnight to ensure all preconstruction and design efforts were ready for construction to begin. It’s this type of dedication and focus on the details, including planning and value engineering, that leads to a successful outcome.

Construction on the project is now underway and on track to meet the scheduled completion date. While winter weather caused some major setbacks that required schedule revisions, Mowery is known for including creative contingency plans and unique sequences to ensure projects remain on track. Our focus never waivers from the client to deliver a remarkable experience that meets all expectations: on time, under budget and of the highest quality.
