Harrisburg Institute Dewberry for Messiah College

Harrisburg Institute Dewberry for Messiah College

Through Messiah’s Harrisburg Institute, students can have the best of both worlds – classes in the countryside while living and volunteering in the city.

Messiah college created The Harrisburg Institute in 2003. Right from the start, the group became a crucial presence in Harrisburg, addressing the city’s most important needs and issues.

When not on main campus for classes, students live and volunteer in the city. Housed in what was once an abandoned warehouse at 28 Dewberry St., it was renovated into small apartment-like dorm rooms. This 25 bed student housing complex also includes offices, classrooms and conference room space.
