Unique to Homeland is The Dorothy S. Hollinger Conservatory. Covering 1,000 square feet, this glass domed addition is filled with tropical plants, flowers and a waterfall. The goal of this room is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment where residents can experience the benefits of nature.
“Not only is it a landmark in the city, but more importantly it offers the residents of the Ellenberger Unit the opportunity of enjoying the warmth of sunshine, the scents of citrus trees and the exquisite beauty of the waterfall and tropical plants. It’s a fitting tribute to my beloved wife, Dorothy.” – Franklin Hollinger
