For many colleges, the arts are central to the vitality of a campus. John Dale (’54) and Irene Dale (’58) thoroughly researched the need for a new campus building and the results led to Juniata College breaking ground for a new fine arts and integrated media arts building, of which Mowery was brought on board to manage its construction. “John and I talked about it, and we decided that what the art department most needed was a real place to call home.” – Irene Dale ’58
Juniata College is known for offering courses that grow students’ creativity and critical thinking. This new building is a hub for these core values and teaching methodologies. Studios for photography and digital art, graphic design, media arts, drawing, painting, and other arts are featured in the IMSA building.
