Mountain Ridge Metals, a leader in aluminum extrusion specializing in painting, fabrication, and engineering services, was looking to expand their operations into a new manufacturing facility to meet growing demand. They selected Mowery as the design-build contractor to capitalize on efficiencies gained through a single source of accountability creating rapid delivery, smooth collaboration, cost savings, and a mutual level of trust.

Once awarded the project, our in-house design team developed a functional and safe layout for the new space, which included a three-story office addition. The first phase of construction included clearing the 23-acre site, which involved rock blasting, bulk grading, excavation, and more. Next, we got to work erecting the metal building, putting the roof on, installing siding, pouring concrete, adding interior framing and slabs, as well as completing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. Finally, we installed beautiful finishes to make our client’s vision for the space a reality.

We are proud to have completed the 111,565 SF manufacturing facility in just 10 months while remaining within budget. We wish Mountain Ridge Metals all the best in their new facility and cannot wait to see the positive impact they will have on jobs, local manufacturing, and the Central PA community!
