Susquehanna University needed a new admissions center that would stand out and create a unique experience to welcome prospective students and their parents to the campus. The building also needed to carry the University’s spirit and brand.
Susquehanna University had chosen a world-renown architect for the building,
making this a very high-profile and highly-valued project for their campus. The challenge was finding material solutions that would fit within budget and maintain the design’s integrity and upper-end style.
Mowery’s Project Managers and Superintendents were on high alert to ensure all major and minor details of the architect’s plans were followed throughout each phase of the project. Estimators worked diligently to find products and materials that fulfilled the need of the plans while also fitting within the budget.
The result is a beautiful 15,500 square foot Admissions House that stands out as one of the most uniquely designed structures on the campus. With a backdrop of white walls and accented with “Susquehanna University Orange” furniture, the large, naturally lit presentation space is one of the building’s major focal points. Plus, the welcoming lounge space has ample comfortable seating for families and students to gather for tours and meetings with admission staff. In the end, both the client and the architect were satisfied that the finished product brought their vision to life.
After completion, the building won a Merit Award through the Excellence in Construction (EIC) ABC Keystone chapter.
