Keeping buildings up to date gives residents a more fulfilling life at Green Ridge Village.

Located in Newville, PA, Green Ridge Village is a Presbyterian Senior Living Community that accommodates for Independent Residential Living, At-Home Services for in home support, Memory Services, Personal Care, and Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mowery was contracted to complete interior renovations to the Swaim Health Center and several cottages in addition to various minor renovations to other parts of the village including community rooms, apartments, greenhouses and much more.

With the village being open and in use the during the whole construction phase, working in an active community with residents created a few unique challenges. In addition, uncertainty around when cottages would be unoccupied and ready for renovations made for an unclear schedule. To keep up with uncertain schedule and fast turn-around, Mowery kept very detailed records of the cottages already completed and ones that needed to be renovated. Staying organized as well as keeping an open schedule for team members helped the project run smoothly. When a cottage became available, Mowery got to work immediately. Efficiencies were gained in the design and execution as a result of the similar sizes of the cottages.
