David Cross Transitions to Chairman with Sale of Mowery to Company President, Seth Hughes
When David Cross started his leadership journey at Mowery, he started with the end in mind. For the last seven years, David, along with the entire leadership team, have strategically focused on building and growing the company to a position where it can effectively and seamlessly move into the future. Fostering solid relationships; rebranding the company; implementing cutting-edge technology; restructuring internal teams and processes; and so much more, have allowed the company to achieve record-breaking sales growth and several noteworthy awards. Today, Mowery is truly thriving.
As a builder at heart, David wanted to be a part of crafting something that would continue well beyond his time and positively impact those it touched, and he has done just that. He has decided, after much consideration, to transition to chairman and sell the company to Seth Hughes, Mowery’s current president. With the transition of Seth into the ownership role, Mowery is ready for the next chapter!

Get to Know Seth Hughes
Seth Hughes joined Mowery in 2016. He was the first individual selected by David to join Mowery’s new leadership team, and he has served as David’s righthand man, implementing strategic development initiatives and setting the company up for future success.
Seth has over 27 years’ experience in the construction industry. At the age of 16, he began working as a laborer and since then has worked in a wide variety of positions in the office and field, at all levels. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.
In his role as owner and president, Seth will continue to be responsible for day-to-day operations of the company including contract negotiation and management; quality control; customer relations; and more. In addition, as Mowery’s owner, he will now be responsible for overall asset management and strategic advancement of the company.
When not leading the Mowery team, Seth can be found in Boiling Springs, PA, where he resides with his wife and three children. They enjoy camping, hunting, and fishing. Much of Seth’s spare time is dedicated to supporting youth sports and coaching in his local community.
